It’s hard to believe that another year has come and gone! We thoroughly enjoyed helping you all sparkle over a beautiful and busy holiday season, and we are looking forward to a lovely New Year where we continue to help all of your dazzling dreams come true!

Like with any fashion trends that change with each new year, we are hard at work analyzing which jewelry trends are going to define 2026. Jewelry is a wonderfully versatile way to express your unique personality–the ultimate wardrobe “staple”, jewelry is uniquely suited to reflect your individuality. Whether you personally gravitate towards classic pieces of jewelry such as pearls, tennis bracelets, or diamond studs, or your style trends toward something more bold and distinctive, we take pride in carefully curating pieces designed to bring each customer’s vision to life. While many jewelry trends remain constant throughout the decades, each year also brings certain trending changes that may interest customers, so today we are going to take a look at a few jewelry trends that are predicted to either continue from 2025, or are expected to be new for 2026.

6 Jewelry Trends for 2026

1. Bold, Structured Bands

Bold, structural bands–whether accented by gemstones, supporting an engagement diamond, or simply on its own–are everywhere, and we don’t see that trend changing for 2026. Thicker bands provide increased wearability for the owner, as they are less susceptible to damage.

2. “Modular” Jewelry

Modular jewelry is defined as “interchangeable components designed to be rearranged, added, or removed, allowing a single piece to transform into multiple styles (source: various sources online). A great example of this type of jewelry is this stunning pair of diamond and tanzanite earring jackets that we designed for a client this year. These jackets were designed so that the client could wear them as a way to enhance her diamond stud earrings, thereby completely changing the look of her earrings depending on the occasion. Another example of modular jewelry includes bracelets and necklaces with charms that can be added/removed.

3. Sculpted Statement Pieces

Continuing with a fashion trend that favors the bold, sculptured statement pieces (think chokers, bangles, cocktail rings, etc.) are likely to be everywhere in 2026. From warm yellow gold to icy silver, statement pieces are the perfect way to elevate your wardrobe.

4. Silver

Silver pieces are poised to become a consumer favorite due to the rising cost of gold. Silver pieces tend to be as cost-effective as well as beautiful, and flatter a wide range of skin tones.

5. Mixed Metals

While jewelry rules used to suggest that people wear only one metal color at a time, those “laws” have been changing over the years. Mixed metals–where you incorporate more than one metal color or type in a piece–are currently trending, and the look is expected to blossom in 2026.

6. The Return of the Classics

Custom Jewelry | Gilded Design Studio

Pearls, cameo pins, bangles, signet rings…classic, heirloom types of jewelry are poised to make a strong comeback this year. Now would be an excellent time to dig through vintage pieces of jewelry that have been lingering in a box for years and incorporate those pieces into your jewelry wardrobe. We also specialize in transforming beloved pieces of treasured family jewelry into something fresh and updated that you will enjoy wearing (see our NYE Instagram post!), so 2026 will also be a good year to schedule a custom appointment to redesign jewelry that hasn’t been worn for some time into something that you will wear with joy and pride.
